1st bookout from army

Just booked out from Rocky Hill camp at Pulau Tekong yesterday! Now there's one thing about blogging about the army that I must keep to. I can't....blog about the army. According to OC the training regime is....somewhat of a secret and we can't "carelessly" let others know about it or we will be charged with, ah, fraternising with the enemy. So I'll try to be....subtle. Training is fairly tiring but largely manageable, everyday we chiong around the camp running all over the place. Had Xkm (X being a variable number) route march carrying a Ykg (Y being another variable. learn the drill) field pack through the jungle which was probably the most tiring activity so far but it was still okay. So....I'm strong! Maybe it's the result of my ODAC days. Not that a slacker like mi really had alot of ODAC days though. So that means....I'm strong! BhbOur sergeants are really nice people who, compared to other platoons' sergeants are really great. I see others getting pumped and tekan all the time but ours are quite patient with us, to the point that sometimes I feel we should be pumped when we aren't. But I'm not complaining anyway. I can't reveal their names or 1st Lieutenant ABC will weed out this blog, polish it off the face of the world wide web and sling mi into detention barracks.Army is actually, truth be told, quite fun. That is, if you look at it positively of course. Sure we're quite shagged everyday but it's still allright so far. However for all the language of defending our country's honor and independence and upholding our virtues and liberty, you can't deny that army is all about....killing people. I hate guns. Their only purpose is to kill people. Don't get mi wrong though. If (touch wood) some country comes invading and threatening us I'll gladly pick up a weapon and drive the bastards off our land. It's just that....I feel between humans and humans, we shouldn't have to be doing all this. But whatever, it's the way of the world. I took the oath when I became an NSman and I real well meant it, particularly the last 3 words.Booking back in tomorrow 2015 hours, seems abit too fast for mi. Will be out again by next week! Hope everyone's doing okay =P see you all around!
