HO camp was so rocks! Ya I know I wasn't in for half of it but it was so nice....wait, I start from what I know.OK, thursday reached school at....forgot, just after Amanda's group came back from their Amazing Race....apparently they were first, so that makes mi second right? Why I no prize? So i walk around school, miss AHS, then went to play concourse piano (which is BADLY in need of tuning)....wait for all the other groups to return....and then Rebecca lost her bag.... =( ....hope there's nothing too valuable inside....then went down to 85 with wenjun to "book" tables.....and this big drinks stall guy come and say must buy drinks before can shift his table....so nevermind, we order 5 cups of sugarcane, and 21 cups of ice lemon tea. The guy was like, shock dao? Please man, what do you expect. Had dinner, then went on a night search for Rebecca's bag and another sec 1's who was also lost....but didn't find anything.... =( =( then went home, took a ride on Wei Ling's lorry.Second day was funner, and someone could have told mi it was at Area E then I stop closer instead of going to Marine Cove at Area C?? But nevermind walking east coast is fun....heard you all walked from Area A, so I not so cham bah....finally reached HO's pit, then helped them set up fire, take water....water's heavy man, 1g/cm^3. But nevermind....we had fun starting fire....a bit of trubble but nevermind....and just when we get the fire going, half cooked some hot dogs....and the real owner of the pit comes along. Credit him, even when we took his pit, he was very nice, offered to help....but yeah, it's your pit, so we had to move over to our real location, BYOP1. Now this is amusing, because no one actually knew BYOP was bring your own pit. Admittedly while walking toward "our" pit E51, I saw a sign saying BYOP (Bring Your Own Pit), so I was a little mystified when HO was using the normal pits....but I didn't bring it up. OK, so we move over to our "pit", which consists of a flat stone with yellow lettering saying "BYOP 01" on it. Funky. The fire building process, though, was amazingly faster than with the real pit....Sok Shin is a real pyro, can start good fire, only we didn't expect coconut husk to smoulder and not burn. So our pit is more like 3 stones with a wire mesh balanced on top, with the charcoal underneath....but at least it gives off heat right? So we continue the sausages, cook some chicken wings and sweet potato and corn....the sausages are nice, i had one, along with a marshmallow, my dinner. 50% of my job there was to lift the wire mesh and hold it up so Sok Shin and Qinqin and Jiemin and Yu Lan could blow at the charcoal. Hey it's a good attempt you know, this bbq, even the park rangers were impressed, they actually took a photo. Maybe next week we see the photo on newspaper, "the pioneers of east coast bring your own pit bbq rocks".But sad, no time for sharing, everyone got to go home....so ya, got a whole tray of chicken left....ohwell. Went home with Rebecca Qinqin Yan Ru Siew Cheng Huimin Liwen and I can't remember who else....sorry, but it was nice time going home, yeah. Nagged at by mum for getting home late, dad bochup....nevermind, they insignificant, more important is HO camp was so great! Nice time back with HO....must organise another some time~
