A Silver to the Slaughter?

Well, so we did go for SYF on Friday....haiz....kinda painful to type about....ok that aside, we had our Paper 1 for midyear first, we being AHS HO. Wasn't too hard....English was rather fun and for one of the rare times I didn't get stuck in my Chinese compo. Finished Paper 1.....went to HO Room, went through the SYF songs, Eyes on me and Tancuj Tancuj, did pretty well, some problems with double bass, but I thought it'd clear up.....well, suffice is to say I thought we'd turn out fine. My solo was alright, Wenjun's was excellent, our songs were emotional. Twice we practiced, then had a rather hurried lunch, changed to our bus-driver uniforms and got on the bus to SCH. Tense moments at SCH....waiting for our performance, but because I gone for SYF before the anxiety is a little lessened.....but nevertheless my palms were still sweaty as we walked upstage. Started Eyes on me....blew out a fairly good solo, I'd say, followed by Wenjun's more impressive one, then continued.....and piano made a small mistake, that couldn't help being noticed by the judges. 2nd Song, and at the end part double bass slipped.....a touch of nerves, maybe, but I thought it wasn't too obvious. After that watched the other schools perform...Joel and Kelly were there too.....some were quite impressive....then the release of results. Anglican High School - Silver. That woman could have done better to bludgeon me to death with her microphone. Girls were crying, and I was fighting to hold my emotions back as well....went down.....I went to the toilet to let a few tears flow, couldn't control them any longer. Yu Tian came in, I pretended to wash my face, and amidst the cheers of Yuhua Sec (Gold with Honours), we left SCH. Came back to school....rather quiet, we were, Councillors having some activity....they were really nice, yelling a cheer for us, thanks Councillors. Sat in HO Room....Weishan talked a bit, nice words she gave....I just walked around aimlessly....some girls were still in tears....and Wenjun and I broke my shirt hanger on the cymbals. Left after awhile.....played LAN with Kelvin.....I imagined every single enemy was named "BOON".Well....so that's that, then.....can't fault anyone, we all tried our best, but I guess fate had other plans....Jazreel once told mi we'd get disbanded if we don't get Gold....Boon if you dare disband us I assure you you are going to have alot of visitors......because AHS HO is the MOST bonded CCA in AHS! NOTHING will seperate us! Don't feel so bad le, HO.....we all really put in alot of effort, and to me we already have a Gold of Honours.....Weishan is right.....dont sad le k?
